Reverend Mohammed Iman

Black Cat Figurehead

Description:
Bio:

The Reverend Mohammed Iman, born Wade Johnson, is the head of the Black Cat movement based out of DC. Inspired by the goals and philosophy of the Black Panther movement from the 1960’s, but disinterested in the violent measures often taken by that group, Reverend Mohammed Iman founded the Black Cat movement in hopes of empowering the disenfranchised parishioners he became accustomed to seeing in his congregation. What initially started as a small community center in the Anacostia neighborhood of DC quickly spread across the city and soon became a nationwide phenomenon. He became the reluctant figurehead to a movement that has grown rapidly beyond the scope of anything he had ever envisioned or intended. Now millions of disenfranchised people across the nation see him as a beacon of hope in a world that beats them down at every opportunity. Sadly, being the figurehead to this movement has garnered Rev. Iman a lot of attention from people seeking to maintain the status quo at all costs…
