This building, covered with old hubcaps along the outside, used to be an auto parts store owned by a Haitian immigrant named Henri Laurence. When his cousin Renee “Momma Voodoo” DuPuycame to town a year ago, however, Henri left town. Last thing he said was he had given the shop over to his cousin, and he couldn’t be around anymore. His friends recall he seemed scared, but no one was sure why. They say he went back to Haiti. No one’s really sure what happens at the old hubcap store anymore, but folks in the neighborhood claim that there are all sorts of strange occurrences there now, especially at night.
